About

  • Raisin Catalog is the publishing and public relations concern of Alex Nichols (7th self), an artist/photographer based in Detroit, Michigan. Actually more like Ann Arbor. Hamburg Township, if you want to get specific, but I’m not one to get hung up on details. His work has been met with mixed reactions internationally, including exhibitions at the Cranbrook Art Museum (Detroit), the Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography, the Camera Club of New York/BAXTER ST, the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, the Kominek Gallery (Berlin), the Encontros da Imagem Festival (Portugal), Ephemere Photo Fest (Tokyo), and the International Collection of Entry Fees. A complete CV is available upon request.

  • Send all inquiries to alex@raisincatalog.com

I accept commissions and assignments to photograph artwork/exhibitions, architecture, interiors, narrative landscapes, historical figures, missing persons, science fairs, and paranormal events. Sorry, no senior pictures, baby pictures, Victorian death portraits, surprise birthdays, planned weddings, broken engagements, or monkey self-portraits.

  • The following publications have been handmade in limited quantities under the Raisin Catalog brand, sold directly, and/or through art book fairs, and various specialty shops, such as Printed Matter (NYC), Dashwood Books (NYC), Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, DittoDitto Books (Detroit), Quimby’s Bookstore (Chicago), and Nomadic Bookshelf (Cleveland). All titles are currently sold out.
